I started playing the bassoon in 1999 with professor Zygmunt Tlatlik (with the exception of years 2003-2006, when I studied with Wojciech Front) at the Stanislaw Moniszko Primary School in Katowice and later at The Karol Szymanowski High School in Katowice, Poland. In 2010 I was an exchange student of professor Krisztina Faludy at the University of Music and Drama in Graz, Austria. The same year I began studies with professor Marc Engelhardt at the University of Music and Drama in Stuttgart, Germany and received my Master’s diploma with 1, 2 degree. In 2015 I completed “Cycle de specialization” at the Cité de la Musique et de la Danse in Strasbourg, France with professor Guilhaume Santana. At the moment I am doing my postgraduate studies specialized in orchestral playing at the University of Music and Drama in Mannheim, Germany with professor Ole Kristian Dahl.

During my studies, I have successfully taken a part in several competitions. I have received 2nd place at the First Edward Mandera and Wiktor Osadzina Bassoon - Oboe festival in Poland (2005), distinction prize with my woodwind quintet at the 30thNationwide Chamber Groups Competition in Poland (2005). I was a semi-finalist at the 1st International Bassoon Competition in Moscow (2008) and gold prize at the International Chamber Music Competition in Slovenia (2014). I also took part in Praha Spring Competition in Czech Republic.

I have participated in many masterclasses with such well-known bassoonists as Klaus Thunemann, Dag Jensen, Carlo Collombo, Bence Boganyi, Martin Gatt, Martin Kuuskmann, Valentino Zuchiatti, Leszek Wachnik and Marek Barański. From each teacher I got new ideas, learned nice tricks, many important words on how to be a better bassoonist. I learned how to aim for my goals and separate practicing from playing.

I have also been a member of several youth orchestras: “I, Culture” orchestra, Baltic Sea Youth Philharmonic, Bayerische Philharmonie. These projects have taught me different things such as preparing drastically different pieces day by day and rehearsing them thoroughly before going on long tours and playing important concerts. All that have taught me what a real teamwork is – in orchestra and in chamber groups. Project Leaders have taught me a lot in terms of self-preparation (for rehearsals and concerts) but most importantly, they taught me how to stay sane after many, many hours of rehearsals. I have carried all their advice through my professional career.

I have worked with Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, Radio Symphony Orchestra of Katowice, Contemporary Music Orchestra, Sinfonia Luventus, The Netherland Symphony Orchestra, Stuttgarter Symphoniker, Heidelberger Symphoniker, Mannheim Mozart Orchestra and Kammerorchester Heidelberg. I have played concerts at such great festivals as Schleswig Holstein Music Festival, Gothenburg Culture Festival, Baltic See Festival, Beijing Modern Music Festival, Warsaw Autumn, Musical Polonica Nova, Brand New Music Festival. In 2013 I took a part in "Orff Akademie", a project lead by Radio Symphony Orchestra in Munich in Germany.

Since 2016 I am a bassoonist in Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra in Tampere, Finnland

W 2021 I graduated my Phd research on The Fryderyk Chopin Music University in Warsaw under the lead of Professor Artur Kasperek. In the same year I cooperate with National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice and National Forum of Music in Wroclav. From 2022 I also teach on The Karol Szymanowski Music Accademy in Katowice in Poland.
